hey peeps. i just got some aluminum grille mesh stuff off ebay. what is the best way to install this? i want it to go behind the lower valance behind the fog lamps, etc so it covers up all that ugly radiator/AC condensor stuff. ive heard using little plastic clips, zip ties, etc. anyone can half a$$ stick it in there, just wondering if anyone has done this on any tib and what is the best method as far as durablility goes. ill try to post some pics once its complete, but im on that " i 'wanna digital cam for b-day" list. oh well. ill try to use one at work. any info you guys/gals can provide will be appreciated. really, it will.
I've done this on my frist gen, zip ties and work great. but you must clean the inside the bumber really well. or you can try jb weld. works great two. Let me know what year you have, if it's the frist gen I can tell you what to do if not I cant help you. But I think you should go with jb weld, it will give you the best hold.
i have a black 2003 tib gt v6 6spd sport package 2 and i also wanted some grill put on my front end....please post pics when you are done installing them ..also where can i get some of those grill???? any info would be great thanx
ebay is where i got mine. had mine painted flat black though. got it installed tonight. kinda a pain. the middle sections arent that bad, but on either side of the fog lamp there are little holes that need to be covered too. oh well. pics will be coming soon i hope. (B-day is 9-23-79 in case anyone wants to buy me a digi cam. )
you can also go ghetto and go to ur nearest hardware store and buy chicken wire
it actually looks real good and is sturdy if done right and tight
actually i did find rain gutter guard at my hardware store that looks almost identical for a $1.24 for a 3 ft by 6 inch piece. oh well. ghetto is sometimes real good. lots of ghetto for the same price as the spensive stuff - no one knows any different. they think you are really spending the money on the car.
Chicken wire would have to be done HELLA good to look ok. IMO. Also gutter gard will break under stress from wind and or bigger things like birds, cats, mice (HEY!), squirrels, goats. Seriously though. My buddy tried that on his car broke in two days, he took a small rock right through it
