Well it was sort of a nice day today and an Idea popped in my head. I had my old strut bar from my 2k Tib sitting here and just thought maybe it just might fit on my '03. I took off all the engine coverings that the V6 Tibs have and proceded to try and fit my strut bar on.

And guess what.... It fit.
Its kind of hard to tell while cornering hard if it makes a big difference, but it seemed the front end tightened up a bit (Could be my imagination). Ill post a few pics of it tomorrow but it looks a little funny because the strut bar is off centered from the motor. I wasn't able to install the coverings back on, But this will do untill Kore or SR starts selling the OEM Blue strut bar that the Korean Tibs have.

Well now all I gotta do is find a hole to run my 4 guage power line for my subs.<img src=/images/forums/snitz/smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>

blue oem bar? really? anyone got pics of this? and why do they get one and we dont. if anyone knows how to get one, besides stealing a korean car and yanking it off, let us know. i want one. BBBAAAAADDDDD.

Well I finally got a chance to take some quick pics of this strut bar installed on it. I warn ya though it looks a little wierd with it not being centered with the motor, But this will do till im able to get the OEM strutbar.

hmm. the only two things i wonder about. it looks awfully close to the back of the motor cover, looks like real close. also, how much room is there between it and the hood when closed? is it touching? i was wondering that this weekend. lemem know if you can tell any handling difference.

Hey, my car is almost exactly the same, but I have a sun roof - did you get the V6 with the 4 speed or manual 6. I have the V6 with a 4-speed shiftronic.<img src=/images/forums/snitz/cool.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>

Hey wasup black2003gt

Well there the pictures dont really show the clearance between the motor cover and the strutbar but I can fit 2 fingers inbetween them. I ordered this strut bar about 1 year ago from www.speedstate.com When it was on my 2k Tib and had the hood closed I saw 2 little humps that were not really noticeable until you ran your hand over the spot where the bar was. On my '03 I didn't notice this and see no marks on the insulation under the hood, but I did have the marks on my 2k Tib.

As for the handling its very hard to tell if it made a difference, but I did notice this in my 2k. When im on my way to work there is a small S Curve just before I reach my work and I hit that one day "with dry pavement" at 85 km/h and she didnt slide any where. I think it makes a bit of a difference in tightening the front end up a bit, but I have no proof and im not that knowledgeable in the suspension catagory. If anyone else know if it should make a big or little difference please let me know.

Yep I have a sunroof in my tib and the V6 with the shiftronic in it. I am very close to my break in point and it just seems like alot more power just seemed to pop out of nowhere.<img src=/images/forums/snitz/smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>
