Default Resonator...

hey i just took off the resonator from my intake.... and i feel a difference... other people said it wouldn't add a boost but, maybe it's all in my head or something but i feel a difference... does anybody know anything about the resonator and what it's there for...? thanks...<img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0>

There is a replacement for displacement. It is on 2 wheels and 600cc.

You know, if the resonator's empty gaping hole lets the intake air charge bypass a few turns in the intake piping, then you might actually have an increase.

The resonators are there to make the engine sound like an electric fan, and removing them makes the engine sound like an engine. You should have noticed this effect immediately. That is all they are there for.

Take out everything and stick a regular 3" inlet cone filter on there and see how you like the sound then OMG when i step on the gas im gasming. <img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0> just cant wait till i get a real CAI on there. <img src=/images/forums/snitz/approve.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>
