I realize these are 18" wheels but does anyone know if this car has been lowered too. the hight and wheels look perfect. I was wondering if having the 17" wheels and just lowering the car would have pretty much the same effect, cause getting new wheels and rims= a lot of money.
Well this is how I see it. The 2nd gen Tibs (like my own) came with 15's. So inching up to 17's and decreasing the profile to 40 from 55 series on the tire, created no problem in rubbing and looked superb. So for the 2003 Tib GT which comes standard with the Michelin Pilot Sport 205/45ZR17 tires and 17" rims (I don't know the width on the rims but I suspect 7.5" wide), the inching up to 19"x8.5" rims and 225/35ZR19 tires should work as well. If 19" is too big for you and decreases the performance too much, then just stick with 18"x8 or 8.5" rims and 215-225/35ZR18 tires. Using Eibach springs for lowering (on 2nd gen they offered the 1.2" f/r drop with Pro-Kit springs) would most likely decrease the fender gap dramitcally without creating rubbing and still leaving room for a body kit. I am kinda hesitant about using coil-overs. I know people have different opinions about them so feel free to have your own. But I've heard they hamper performance somewhat. The springs on coil-overs are way smaller than the Eibachs and stock springs so they can give a harsher ride. I dunno. It is entirely up to the person. I know, I am kinda getting off topic. But my friend has Neuspeed coil-overs on his Integra and the ride is not as smooth as before. I guess since his struts are busted that didn't help either. <img src=/images/forums/snitz/smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>

when you lower cars, you decrease the distance that the suspension can compress over bumps. Proper spring rates can help negate the roughness somewhat, but lowered cars will be rougher, regardless of the method unless it's air.
coilovers will HELP performance if you want to turn. If you want to go comfy down the city streets, then they will hurt.
and that car looks totally sweet with those rims.
(edit) oh yeah, IMO, 35 series tires look nice but are not worth driving on if you commute in the car. very rough especially compared with 50 or 55 series...(/edit)

You already have lowering springs for your car or not?
