Well if you guys do, I am 100% in for the group buy.
I would love to get them before I get the car though so it looks like it came like that out of the box to piss off my friend who thinks his BMW is the shit, with its 5-speed non-xenon light car.
6-speed and Xenon lights is two things he wishes his BMW had
We have direct plug and play for H7 application. If you know how to change your bulb, then you've done half of the installation. We can proudly claim it direct plug and play because you don't see any mystery wires. If you have been to our website the kit and wires your saw are the actual product needed and used.
As for the light output. All stock HID uses the same bulb but each has a slight variation to it. Why? because each headlight housing is different and it makes the differences. Our bulb has the blue/white to it (for most cars we've seen with our kit). Over a distance you do see blue because of the 5000K rating. Don't be fooled by images that has a really blue light. HID light is blue during the first few second of activation. After that it turn white. See the attached image. We have a customer who did it on his bike (H4). If you see those 3 different images, those are taken at 3 different times but color is different. We don't have a 2003 Tiburon with our kit yet. You want to see the same car with the light because other cars have different output. If you put on ours we'll post it on the website.
Pricing varies among the dealers. Our suggest retail is $549 and it's worth the money because we have warranty on bulb (30 days) and ballast (1 year). Other kits are not warranted because 1) there are many ways to destroy the ballast 2) Phillips don't warranty the product 3) there is no manufacturer of a HID kit with the same quality besides Hella, PIAA, Bellof but you pay premium for it. You can contact our local CA dealers or I can refer you to other dealers from other state. Please let me know which state are you located
So more or less thats what your getting. They also gave me the phone number to a branch which is literally 15 mins from my house here in Canada. This may even appeal to maybe Rob for lower product cost and others as well since here in Canada, our Cnd dollar is so bad, we may be seeing Mexicans coming up here on vacation. I do not have the price they are offering, nor prices if we do form a group buy since they are closed today (Saturday).
As for the group buy. I personally don't want to head it. With my friends alone, have turned me off buying mass quantity of tickets to like Raptors games. Then people backing out and I just don't have the 'safety' money to head this one up.
So to me personally this does appeal to me. On the long weekend I am hoping (cross my fingures) that when I get in touch with the McCullock branch here in town, that I can talk my Hyundai dealership into letting me take the 2003 Tiburon GT they have sitting in the showroom, on the test drive they have been promising me since I put my deposit down on my GS-R. Hopefully they will let me do the conversion on one light, snap a couple pictures off and then return the car how it was.
I will also look into Hella and PIAA (not sure about Bellof's track record), for me personally, and I will let you guys know.
All contact information is found at the link posted above. I will also check out a couple VW and Honda sites and ask around who they use for their universal HID's
I would be interested because my head lights suck. However... what's the typical price range and will it fit on my 98 tib fx? I'm dumb in the ways of HID.
Many thanks in advance
