Honestly...

You need to sit down, and set your goals before you buy anymore parts. If yuo want a reliable DD, fine... Get yourself basic bolt ons such as Intake, Header, Exhaust. That'll give you around 220 bhp. If you want to do a turbo, dont buy your exhuast yet, or headers and sell the intake, because you'll need to redo it anyways.

Don't waste money upgrading until you have a plan... I've already made that mistake before.

I really want to know what kind of parts you're using. 80hp from an intake, headers, and exhaust? is that possible?

Oh shiet...

My bad, for some reason I thot it was the V6 tiburon. Usually, doing a full exhaust with a high-flow cat, coupled with high flow headers and an intake, you can usually get around 40hp-ish. If it's the I4, then you should have around 170-180ish if you're lucky.

ark racing doesn't make a catback anymore.. andysautosport.com is a really crappy place to deal with.. they don't carry most of what they say they do..

with headers, intake and exhaust on the rd series tibs you will be LUCKY, with the BEST setup (maintec headers, apexi N1 exhaust, AEM CAI) to go from the 136 stock bhp to like 165bhp. thats if you are lucky.. and with the best setup..

that setup would cost ~1500$ for only about 30bhp. this setup would sound AMAZING, be very hard to get ahold of, but best power, and best setup.

a cheaper setup would cost ~700$ but would probably put your gains around 20bhp and sound like crap. this would be easy to get ahold of, but not provide as much power gains.

why don't you go to a good exhaust place and have them bend you some exhaust. they'll make it whatever size you want. that would save you a fortune. and a high flow cat? it's probably not worth the $ for the amount of horses you'll actually get. I do know that a stock civic received a one horsepower gain from a top of the line high-flow cat.

a high flow cat is worth it, especially when a high flow isnt usually much more expensive than a stock one, and when you get a system made, you should get a new cat anyway. so, buying a high flow cat will sometimes even cost less, so why get a more restrictive one..

well yeah, you can get a press bent mild steel exhaust system made with cheap parts, and itll cost around 150-200$. but its going to rust, and cheaper parts usually don't flow as well, or last.

but if you want a mandrel bent sytstem made from galvanized steel, and coated so itll never rust, and go with high quality resonators and mufflers, itll still cost around 300-350$, if not more.

civics and hyundais are WAYYY different. theres no comparing parts from one to the other..

theres tons of mods that would only free up 1-2 horsepower, but if you don't do them, it really adds up.

I love forums! where else can you get such quality conversation? hehe.
A high flow cat would be ideal in the long run, say... if you're going to have a turbo installed. But if you're looking for the best hp for your buck, think about a chip. It'll maximize the power you're getting from that new CAI you just got.
