Default Hey coal

I was under the car for the first time today. These motors do indeed have harmonic balancers (at least mine does). Check yours to see if you have rubber separating the outter ring from the hub. It may look like metal so dig your fingernail in it to check.

Not to be rude we do have a search option.
Here i some oem stuff
1.8l pistons and the xd head gasket will raise compression to about 11.1
1.8l cam shaft
:KSPEC PERFORMANCE: Ultimate Hyundai Performance Upgrade Center
1.8l or first gen exhaust manifold look for the 4-2-1
1.8l ecm .... look that one up for the serial number for the correct one

coolant bypass modifcation

Can you provide me the rules or give me a link providing the rules and I can see what I can do.

You should probibly use the search option, most people here do not take kindly to people who need to be spoon fed info.

Check out RDTiburon.com Home Page they have alot of freebe stuff there as well

I thought the pulley was used as a balancer? Wouldn't that be a dampaner or an oil seal? I will look at it tomorrow. Maybe I am confused about some arguement about crank pullies.

You really need to get some video because the amount of hyndai video's is pathetically low.

I think the pully and balancer are one in the same.

that is what I mean... We have no extra balancer connected to the pully.

rRght, a crank pulley is just a pulley and a harmonic balancer is a "crank pulley" w/ rubber in between the hub and the outter pulley part. This way it allows the two to move independently somewhat absorbing torrisional harmonic vibration. Now as far as an extra balancer, I'm assuming you're reffering to a balancer shaft. I have no idea if these have that or not as I haven't had the front of the engine down yet. At any rate, is there a lighter "crank pulley" or harmonic balancer? I would just have the a/c pullley part machined off but I like the idea of having the extra rubber contact area. This thing is gonna live right at red line and it's just a matter of time before the balancer comes unglued. Ole boy's Daewoo did it second time out.

Car still unfinished and strating vacation tommorrow. It'll be two weeks before I get to run, weather permiting.
