Default What factory parts can be used for mods ( must be factory)

Such as: Throttle bodies, exhast MANIFOLDS, not aftermarket headers. I have an '01 Tibby w/ a cat right off my exhast manifold. Is there another FACTORY exhast mani that is better flowing? What else can I do w/ FACTORY parts for performance mods? By factory, I mean stuff I can find in a junkyard. Class rules don't allow aftermarket stuff. Thanks, Billy

What about a smaller, lighter harmonic balancer?

19mm swaybar off a 2003 Tib GT. Throttle body coolant bypass mod. Lighter, sticky tires, maybe factory alloys if you're running steelies. K&N panel filter. Cleaning out the car of all the excess crap that accumulates. Ditch the spare and jack. IDK if there's a lighter balancer from the factory floating around. Oh, tranny from a 1.8l Tib/Elantra with it's shorter gears. That's all the stuff I've heard of that isn't immediately obvious to the naked eye/ear.

Search around, a lot of this has been flogged out.

We do not have harmonic balancers.

Not to be rude we do have a search option.
Here i some oem stuff
1.8l pistons and the xd head gasket will raise compression to about 11.1
1.8l cam shaft
:KSPEC PERFORMANCE: Ultimate Hyundai Performance Upgrade Center
1.8l or first gen exhaust manifold look for the 4-2-1
1.8l ecm .... look that one up for the serial number for the correct one

coolant bypass modifcation

Can you provide me the rules or give me a link providing the rules and I can see what I can do.

You should probibly use the search option, most people here do not take kindly to people who need to be spoon fed info.

Check out RDTiburon.com Home Page they have alot of freebe stuff there as well

Yeah, I need to ditch the delay valve and the car is already gutted. Can't run a K&N panel as it won't pass tech. Need to do TB bypass but the cage is being installed at racer dudes shop right now. It should have been fininshed by now but oh well. Might do the bar, but the front end feels tight already from losing so much weight. Tires just skid across instead of bite like they use to. I need to bleed some air out of them to get it back down. The car is remarkably faster gutted but cage should take care of that. Anything else anybody can think of?

Been serching for two days and just found alot of references to stuff but not the whole thing. Apparently alot has gotten buried as I've seen happen before at other sites, thus I ask.

Here are the rules: no aftermarket equipment anywhere on the car, PERIOD!!!
Motor has to be car/year/model specific as is tires, rims and anything else you can think of basically. 1.8 cam swap should be o.k and ECU should be also, maybe pistons too (they didn't say you couldn't). Main thing it would seem is block and heads need to be stock. Stock 4 Cylinder, FWD and a roll cage is the best way to sum it up. Tranny needs to be stock also. No aftermarket clutches either. NO CAI either.

Car not here right now, will get pics. Tar still in and might leave it there. Comes out easier w/ small propane torch and putty knife. Car seems too light now, front plowing easily. No dash or nothing in it except guages and small amount of dash around them. Cage is gonna be $450 including material custom made for the car. Four point, 3 door bars, cage tied to strut towers, cross braced and tubes welded down rockers. Pretty bullitproof set up. The guy does nice work, I'll send pics.

I know all about the sound proofing crap... I used blow tourch and putty knife then finished it off with a wire wheel on a drill... you would be suprised how heavy that crap is. How about exhust regulations.... the 4-2-1 header off the 1.8 or what ever will leave you with no cat because the cat is further down on the exhaust piping to the older tibs. are you allowd to cut metal off the car?
