Can I put a 97 1.8L into my 97 FX?

I have 97 1.8L tibby and a 97 FX 2.0L. The 1.8L engine./tranny are in great shape, body is wrecked (my 16 year old son). The FX needs a tranny and the engine does not sound great. Can I direct swap the 1.8 engine/tranny into the FX? Does the ECU have to be swapped also? Will the Cruise control bolt right on to the 1.8L engine?

Please help. I'm a newbie to Tibbies, but already love em. If I can do this, the 2.0L engine/tranny will go to the bench for rebuild.

Yes. They will bolt right up and you have to change nothing!

Just swap throttle bodies if you want to keep cruise control.
