Default Driver Door Sensor

Does anybody know what activates the door ajar sensor when you have your keys in the ignition on the 2003 tib? Is there a fuse or is there another way to disconnect it.

There is a pressure switch on the door jamb on both sides. Simply disconnect that and you're good to go. The one downside is your entry lights will not turn on when your door is open. <img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0>

why would you want to even disconnect it?

Its a handy feature and also a convenience(prevents lock outs)

there is a pressure switch. sit in your drivers seat with the door open and reach behind you to the door jamb. feel around and you will feel the rubber thingy- its moves in and out perpendicular to the body so its easy to find. push it in and the door chime shuts up. and for people who say there isnt a switch, what are you smoking?

Where do you get pressure switch from ?

It's called a pin switch. Class dismissed.
