Default 2001 clutch question

I have a 2001 tiburon, and i've had it for about 5500 miles. This is the 1st car that i've had that is a stick, so i dont know much about them. Anyways, it seems that my clutch is squeaking. I have no clue what this means, w/the engine off i can push the clutch and hear squeaking. Also while i'm driving and shifting out of 1st, the clutch isn't as smooth as it used to be, i can feel a weird feeling while i push the clutch in. Can anyone tell me what i can do? Just some W-40 will fix it up? Thanks

Default Re: 2001 clutch question

<img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0>Hey man...well, the squeaking you're hearing might be from the clutch master cylinder, under the consoles. A little boot grease(grease formulated for rubber or vynl components)applied on the master cylinder shaft will fix that right up.

As for the funny feeling when you depress the clutch...uhh...I've never encountered anything like that before, but I'm very sure another of the members here has, and they will help you with it when they have the chance to reply to your post.
