Hi does anyone know about any known problems with this model and what the ect switch is by the automatic tranny shifter????

The switch is basically a "sport" shift thing. It adds a little bit of performance.

As for known problems: TPS is the first one that comes to mind. The auto tranny sucks also.

what does tps mean oops sorry

Throttle position sensor. If you need more info on the TPS, check out hmaservice.com.

Hi i had a tech pull my dashboard and now cruise control and rear defrost doesn't work and they can't figure it out on my 99 tibby. they say the switches are bad but they worked fine before. anyone out there can help on this.
