With the help of two faithful friends from rdtiburon.com, i've come up with a diagram for 1997 to help those people who accidently spliced their wires to get universal oxygen sensors in.
if rd tiburon guys cannot find info here, you can always find everything over there.
From what I've read, the diagram applies to all Hyundais from 1986-1997, but I'm not entirely sure. In 1998+ they changed the wiring orders as well as upped the voltage. This diagram worked for me, it should work for all 1997's.
