Default short ram or cold air

currently have a aem cai thinking about going with a short ram which is better?

cold air is always going to be better as long as you get the filter out of the engine bay and away from the header. Try to find one that puts the filter in the front bumper. between the wheel well and bumper.

yeah the one i have is coming out of the bumper but the problem with is i don't have a splash guard so when it rains a lot and i hit a puddle its not so good
i heard aem sales a water filter type thing that when the filter does suck up water it doesn't allow it to go through is that true

As long as you aren't driving through really high water you will be fine. You can always make a really cheap splash guard if you're still concerned.
