Strut mount questions...I have to replace my struts.

Hey all:

Well i was about to purchase them KYB GR-2 Struts when I noticed they also sell a Strut mount. Will my hyundai strut mount work with these struts.

I was also wondering when should one replace a strut mount and is there a way to tell if the mount should be replaced without taking the whole strut apart. The car needs alot of work and if the current mounts are good i can use the money elsewhere but having the suspension apart in my drive way only to find out I need more parts would be a big PIA.

Also how was your eperience with the KYB? Good? bad? I can get per strut 77 bucks where hyundai wants 210 per strut

you dont have to replace the mounts but it's good to do it. lots of people like the gr-2's cause the agx's are too expensive.

I just put the GR-2s all the way around on my Accent, and they fit well with the stock mounts and work very well too. Really, they feel about the same as the GT struts when they were new.
