My cash on Tiburon.

1) Look better.
2) Drive awesome.
3) V6 feels good.

Drive them both.

Only advice I'll ever give about choosing a car, since I'm not the one who has to drive it every day.

You're looking at a completely different experience between the 2 of these. One of my friends has the Focus and loves it.
Drive them both. Imagine which one will make you feel better when you walk up to it for a drive, then buy that one.

If you're looking for speed, I'd go with the Tibby. My I4 Tibbies tear up the SVT Focus.... can't imagine what the V6 will do

I wouldnt say that. The SVT Focus is hot.. plus the aftermarket is and will be insane. Jackson Racing and Ford Racing have already teamed up and built a yellow JRSC SVT that was at SEMA that had around 232hp with no other boltons. There is some naturally aspirated ZX3s on the Focaljet that are in the 13s, and very street drivable. Dennis Hilliard who owns Central Coast Mustang/Focus Central is runnig a 13.9 with no F/I !!!!!!
If he is doing this with a standard Focus, it wont be hard to get the SVT in the low 14s.. AEM already is offering UDP, Intake, Brakes, etc, and the car has only been in the dealers for a couple of days...

Dont get me wrong, I like the Tibby, but it will be hard pressed to perform like the SVT..The performance #s are pretty good already for the SVT, plus with the aftermarket you are going to have one hard runner.

When have you raced an SVT focus?? they have only been in dealers for 1-3 days. Are you just going by the published #s?

Hopefully the aftermarket for the Tib will hurry up as well.

Yeah, I am a member of Focaljet myself, although my car is only stock. But what I like in the Focus over the Tibby is the interior. But if I personally had a choice between the two I would go for the Tibby GT, because I would find it silly to get another Focus with just more power, handling and little styling changes here and there. But definately give both of them a drive to see what you like.

definately go for a drive... you really cant compare the two, cause their two different kinds of cars, kinda like apples n oranges

i think the svt is kinda wierd, its not much of a domestic cause its a high rpm engine, is it a first for Ford?

Um ... I have to toss my two pennies to the Focus for two reasons ....

Reason 1
I see a switch to fuel injection, 303 series kit, a touch of nitrous, maybe a supercharger or two.

Reason 2
Yes kids, that is the twin cam Cobra motor
