Default No longer getting a Tib GT

Well when I went into the dealers to finalise some details and when I was there I was hit by a raise in the cost for the Tib GT I had on order. Its not the dealer trying to ripe me off but Hyunai having a price hike. He showed me the new numbers from Hyundai. Not sure when this came into effect, but since my friend got his SE and my pre-order and now the price has gone up on the Tibs. It was $16 more a month added to my lease. I mean $16 is not a lot but I just refuce to pay it on principle. So I cancelled my pre-order even tho Hyundai confirm that I was getiing it in 2 1/2 weeks. Well not all was lost, the silver GS-R that was pre-sold when delivered this week, the person decided not to take it. There it was in the show room. Well I started negotiation for GS-R, and........ I will be picking it up next Wed. Funny, the lease I got on it was better then when I first inquired about a GS-R in Feb when I ordered the GT. Weird But cant complain since I am going to get the first GS-R in town

The dealer told me he's going to have a few pissed off customers that are waiting for their GT's when they find out the new price. He recommend that anybody in the same boat should maybe e-mail Hyundai to complain and maybe Hyundai may give the dealers a break on price for their customers that have pre-order prior to the price hike. Good luck and hope it works out to all who is still waiting on their cars..

Cost me more to lease the GS-R then the GT but Man I am finally going to get a 03 Tib with a 6spd tranny

Falcon

Can you do me a favour?

Could you e-mail me or whatever what your lease payments are monthly and if I can ask your downpayment? I am just curious what I am getting into. I was looking at around $500 a month but I am hoping for less

That doesn't work exactly. Your payments will be higher because the web site doesn't add little costs like freight, delivery A/C tax etc. Figure on the final cost of the car being about 1k higher than the web price, depending on where in the country you live. Then add your other taxes.
Gotta love Canada. One of the only places in the world when you can say other taxes
