Default 2001 Tiburon Headlights

I am looking to replace the stock headlights on my tibby, I am looking at the new Xenon bulbs, but my question is the stock tibby lights are 55watts will replacing them with a 80 or 100 watt Xenon H7 bulb have any adverse effects?? or do you have to find a bulb with the same 55 watts.

Thank-You in advance

I used 100 watt low beam Xenon lights for more than 4 month and had no problem so far.

The higher wattage bulbs will burn out prematurely. I go through a set of high wattage bulbs every 2 months or so. I put my stock bulbs back in and they don't blow. If you want your high wattage bulbs to last, build yourself a new wire harness with good relays.

I'm running Osram Silverstars in mine, from powerbulbs.com

Nice, bright white light.

I have "Street Glow" Xenon bulbs. 9006 I think. Alot of rice shops carry them. The blue-ish tint to them isn't horrible either. I'll have some pics later this week. They were $30 bucks. <img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0>
