Default Can I mod the car but keep the warranty?

Lets say I bougth a CAI. What if I brought the CAI to hyundai and told them to install it. Then would I still have my warranty?
I know my wording is kind of wierd, but its late but I dont want to <img src=/images/forums/snitz/sleep.gif width=27 height=25 border=0>.

Nope. Anything aftermarket (non-hyundai) will void your warranty. You can do a quick search and find a heckuvalot of topics on warranties. Basically it comes down to what your dealer decides they wanna do. They can only void the warranty on a part that is directly affected by your modification. In fact they have to prove that your modification caused the problem.

Soo.... if you installed a CAI and your tranny went out. They will not void your warranty on the tranny. Why? Because there is no way to ever prove that a CAI created un-due stress on your transmission. <img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0>
