Default What's with the switch under the hood??

I may be having a senior moment here...but while I was ogling the under the hood mechanics today, I discovered what appears to be a switch. It reminds me of the switch on the door...for the key chime. It's located between the washer fluid cap and the power steering cap along the fender. It appears to be pressed closed when you close the hood. Anybody know what this is for? I didn't get any lights on the dash while running the engine w/ the hood up, so what's this thing do?

Oh yeah, and does anyone have an opinion about InJen vs. AEM CAIs?

The only thing I can think of is your alarm system. I know the new '03s have alarms, it might be a hood sensor.

I dunno much about Injen or AEM CAIs. I know there is going to be a CAI showdown soon. We're just waiting on Shark Racing and KORE to release their latest versions.

Btw, welcome to the boards old man! Just razzing you. It's good to see more than just teens and young 20s buying the new tibs!

Kewl! I figured it was for something. I think it's nice they considered the underhood stuff as well as the passenger compartment.
Thanks for checkin it out, anyway.

Thanksfor the welcome, too. I love this car and I think a lot of people are underestimating it. I've driven enough "sports cars" to know this isn't one, technically, but for the price it's a damn good attempt. In fact, if anyboday else's brand was one it, it'd be worth 5K more on the sticker IMO.
Besides, I like rooting for the underdog. My neighbor has an Acura NSX and RL3.5, but I have a lot more money to spend for fun and this car is plenty powerful and fun for my purposes. I drive it every chance I get.
