Default '98 Tib Fog Lamps

Please excuse me if this question has been asked before, the search wasn't working. I'm brand new here, and expect that I'll learn a lot about my car.

I just got a '98 Tib FX. I had a question about another Tib that I saw.
This member on car domain has his fog lights on without his main headlights on. Is the car supposed to do this or does he have the lights wired differently? My fog lights won't come on until I turn my headlights on too. You can see on pictures 4 and 6 of his page.

Yes you would have to hard wire them. Shouldn't be toooo difficult as long as you can find the wires . All you need to do is bypass the normal wiring harness wiress (SECURE THEM IF YOU CUT 'EM, i.e. tape them up with electrical tape), then make your own wires from a switch and you're good to go. I don't like the look however. Just my opinions, to each his own.

sodder the wires for a secure link... and as ryan mentioned, seal it tight with electrical tape.
