Default AEM Intake - 12whp

I have gotten word from a good source that the 97-01 Tiburon intake from AEM has produced 12whp. That's VERY well. Most other intakes only produced 7 or 8. Good news for all of you as well... why?

Hyundai Performance will be carrying this in the store once the store is up, so be prepared to purchase it here, from hp.com

Why does it only say 8.1hp on the front page?

If you can produce a dyno sheet on that I will believe it, but I have never seen a CAI get better than 8hp.

I'm not sure, but I believe this is speculation from a recent dyno. We're trying to get dyno sheets now.

The CAI from AEM for the Tib GT makes 16whp.

mind if I ask what company it was dynoed at and if you did a 3rd run just to get an average from 1 stock to 2 CAI runs??? thank you

P.S. those readings at the end look weird, sorta looks like a scene from "MEET THE PARENTS" hahaha :bandit: Plus that 5speed bites cause from an auto stock it's only 5 more hp at the wheels... hehehe

Yeah, we found out the Tib it was dynoed on has tuning problems from the factory. It was running 89 octane fuel and 17" Konig Monsoons.

I forget the name of the company it was dynoed at. Aaron will get on here and tell you that.

There were 3 stock runs made and 2 runs with the intake. These were the average runs made. The 3 stock runs were made, then the intake was switched out without unstrapping the car from the dyno per AEM's instructions on getting accurate dyno results. The runs were made about 20 minutes apart (15 minute install time on the intake).
