i want to replace the tranny in my beater because its bad.. so i need a tranny.. drop me an email dwertman@one.net or slap a post up on here... i dont care the mile or anythign as long as it works
You need to check junkyards. Mine is needing replacing and I found several Hyundias at a new junk yard. Best price I have found is 450 dollars for one AT w/39k mi. One guy wanted 650! Dont try to skimp too much and get some high-mileage tranny that will give you problems. Mine has 96k now and has started to go bad. FYI I called around and was quoted 800-1200 for a rebuild (parts and labor). WAIT! didnt you want to put a beta in barney???? Why get a AT??? They are slowwwwwww, expensive to fix, and no fun!

do a 5 speed swap, it might be cheaper, and it's worth it(if you don't mind a check engine light)

it would prolly be cheaper to do the 5spd. swap.. that's why i did it.. 1500CDN (shops wanted over 2500 but gf bro does tranny's) to rebuild the auto... 900-1100CDN for used one from scrap yard.. prolly cost less to do the swap...
is there a way to get rid of the cel after doing the swap.. i should get my car started either tonight or tommorow and i'll see if i get a light.. if so has anyone goten rid of it....
