Ahm, not to discourage you, but $800 for a pII is quite expensive... when all the laptops are now pIII and over 800mhz and they are priced around $1200.

Plus Celeron Laptops are not worth that much.

Anyhow, good luck with that and a good suggestion is try ebay. <img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

The reason why this seems more expensive is the fact that it is a TFT active disply.

I was going to try to sell this on ebay but since I haven't sold anything there yet I am limited to $500 for credit cards and $200 for checks.

It still doesn't matter. People are looking for fast, more RAM or harddrive. Especially with a laptop, the display is not really a major interest.

Anyhow, working in the computer industry, I am very familiar with these things; if I want to buy such laptop, I would not pay more than $300CAN. ($180US I think)

Anyway, prices and value may be different where you are and people may be looking for a different thing, so my best suggestion is to go to a computer store and have them buy it. (shop around, get the best price).

Good luck. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

If you think f it this way a P4 Laptop is going for about 1200-1300 right?

Now if this guy upgraded to P4 for 300 then the $800 I am looking for gives you the P4 laptop for around $1100. With another $100-200 to upgrade ram and/or hard drive.

Well, you have to realise one thing. When you buy a computer, its value will go down day by day. So, I hope you understand that you will not get not even half the money back.
