Default WTB obd2 serial cable for laptop

Im looking for obd2 serial cable with software to run on a laptop. I also have a older color IBM laptop that I would trade for said cable (just throwing that out there).

I bought mine here and it works great, plus its the cheapest price I have seen ($122).and if you can get a group buy going the price can drop even lower.

Like Maxxtib, I bought mine from Alex at obd-2.com. I love it. It's about the cheapest option you have and it works great.

Also like Maxx said, get some other people together. I think we had 15-20 people and the price dropped to $70. 8D

I saw that site and downloaded the program to test it out. Seems nice but the program could be better.

I agree...but you get what you pay for. I mean, you can't even get a CEL code reader for $100. It does that...so all the extra stuff is just a bonus.

hm... I'd be interested in a Group Buy.... does anyone know specifics to look for? what options might be needed or extremely helpful? I know nothing of this :nervous:

Edit: is this what I would need for a laptop? http://www.scantool.net/universal_obdii_cable.htm and what could I do with it? what's it's purpose?

Group buy of 10 people = $32 each ? How long would the cord have to be so you can sit the laptop in the passengers seat and still have it connected?

But one is only $34.95, so it doesn't make sense to wait around for 10 people for a $2 savings.

Looks like I goofed. It is $34.95 for the cable by itself, $85 for the kit, and $129 for the complete package, with case. Grrrr.
