Are thes harder to install than say, adding memory to a computer, or a CDRW drive? Cuz, thats all I've done on my computer, and I don't want to pay someone to install it... In other words, could I install it myself? Cuz right now my graphics card is the one that came with the computer, and takes away from my computers memory when I try to run something with really good graphics, and slows it way down... This make sense?
you turn off the computer, plug this card into your AGP slot(you'll probably have to remove the one that is there if there is one, the AGP slot is a short usually brown colored slot on the Motherboard)and then when you turn you computer back on and it says it has detected new hardware, you hit cancel(your graphics will look like shit for the time being) then you insert the install cd and click on install drivers
reboot and you're done
if you're trying to run a game or an editing program with high grahics demand, this card will work awesome, I bought it to play an online 3D game and it just wasn't compatible with my motherboard, that was the only problem with it.
