I have minor damage to the front and left side of the Accent I'm about to buy and rebuild. I'm in Dallas, Texas and will be searching local yards and parts houses, but I figure I'll give this forum a shot at helping me locate parts as well. The car is a 2000 Accent GS hatchback in black. It was in a light front hit which did not fire the airbags, the bumper cover is slightly warped and I'll prolly keep it and the hood which is not bent badly. The left fender is pushed in and the driver door pulled out where the fender was pushed back ever so much to catch the door when it was first opened after the hit.
It says volumes about the close tolerances and small gaps on the newer Hyundais.
I like it, even though it will be costly to repair.
The car does not have power windows or locks so I could even take an L model door. I can reuse my door panel so interior color does not matter, and the window is even OK. I can also use my moldings on the door and fender. So I need black bare fender and bare door shell. I will also be swapping over my handle and lock so I don't have to carry two keys.
