There is an eprom ic chip on all ecu's. you remove it and put it in the eprom burner and program it

Most EPROM burners have a brand name. Some even have models. Not all EPROM burners/readers read all EPROMS. This one will read EPROMS from some of our cars.

In plain english saying it is an EPROM burner tells us very little!

It is brand new and it comes with installation software but as far as programs you will have to find one for your application. It is a BK PRECISION 840 eprom programmer it has been opened but never installed. It is pretty self explainatory (EPROM BURNER) sorry if you don't know what it is.
