Just so everyone knows this guy is a dead beat. I paid for this valve cover on April 3, 2008 and never received it. I went through paypal to recover my funds and of course they cannot do it. Why? Because he gives them a tracking number to a package that I receive last week. Low and behold he sends me.. a spark plug cover. Yea that little plastic cover that covers the spark plugs and wires. Really slick!!!

Here are the private messages I had with him during the transaction which included a lie that the package was sent back to him on 5/11/08. Over a month after the transaction occured...

Me:
4-1-08
Is the valve cover $40 shipped or without shipping?

Anthony

Him:
4-2-08
it's without shipping but it's a small item so i doubt it's pricey to ship..

shipping is about $15

Me:
4-2-08
Alright $55 works for me. If I paypal you, when can you ship it out?

Him:
4-3-08
as soon as i receive the payment..i'll ship it out the next day

my paypal addy is www.jthayter82@aol.com

***payment was sent this day on 4-3-08*****

Me:
4-5-08
payment sent. Please let me know when you send it out.

Him:
4-7-08
i Have recieved payment via paypal and will send item asap..

thanks!!

Then I hear nothing so I send this:

Me:
4-17-08
I havent received the valve cover yet... just wondering if you got a tracking # or something for it so I can know when it will arrive.

And he doesnt respond until almost a month later

Him:
so sorry for the lack of response,
Unfortunatley, the moron's that sent the item wrote the address wrong, and it got circulated in confusion

I've arranged for the valve cover to be re-sent again with the revised address..it's gonna be about a week

just to be sure the address is right, send the address again..and no i'v not been slacking off by making a easy $ off you and not shipping your item

shipping companie's can be crooks, you ask for next day or 2nd day shipping and they toss your item along with everyone else's item's in the generic shipping rate bin..Uggh..capitalism.

I"m never using USPS Again!

And that was it until I got paypal involved and of course it got messy. But the point is I still did not receive what I paid for which is messed up. So now I'm stuck with a spark plug cover that cost me $55...

If I'm wrong then please forgive me. I'm not new to this, I am new to this board. I was a moderator on a Nissan board, and frequented many boards with no issues. But I guess being a newb on this board meant I get stepped over by someone who obviously doesnt represent the entire community.

it sounds like there was a miscommunication between valve cover and spark plug cover, he probably thought they were the same thing.

my mistake for misinterpreting what you said, i though you meant the silver cover for the top of the spark plugs

to make up for my mistakes..i'll ask one of my friend's to send you a valve cover..preferably free..asap..that's if you still want it

I gave him my old 1.6L engine a year ago and he's got several 1.6L engines..i'm sure he can give you a free valve cover..his name's robert buecker..

again..Sorry for the lousy service..I'll make sure it doesn't happen again
