Default Auto Climate Control Issue 05' Santa Fe

2005 Santa Fe, 3.5L, FWD

It will be going back for the third time. I bought the wagon in Jan 06' as a leftover. The AC compressor continues to cycle whenever the ambient temp is higher than set temp even though:

1. "auto" function is not selected
2. defrost is not selected
3. AC pushbutton was not pressed and is not illuminated.

Anyone else experience this?

I am looking for something to tell them where the problem may be because they sure can't find it.

TIA,
Mikey

Compressors are on so to lubricate the seals. Older cars did not have this feature and the owners manuals instructed owners to turn on the ac once a month. Seals on compressors usually needed replacement after a couple of years. If your a/c-heater is working fine, then there's nothing to be concerned about. Please post when you get the final word from the mechanic.
