High fuel consumptions and poor performance on acceleration.
Hi all, I have been driven a 2006 Santa Fe V6 2WD for almost 2 years now. I have noticed that recently its fuel consumption has been increased substantialy as I could even notice myself as well by monitoring the fuel meter.
Usually, a full tank of gas about 60 litres would probably expect to drive approx. close to 550 KM (city and hwy driving). But it seems that it could only drive approx 400KM by a tank of fuel lately. I need to refuel the car more often than before.
Also I notice this car is loosing power on pickup. I am expecting a V6 car should act like a V6. Even a smal sedan v4 car drive better and more powerful. What kind of V6 car is Santa Fe offering me. Nothing and I am so upset.
I have been following the maintenance schedule to do oil change but have not done any other maintenances yet as they are not required according to the User's Guide.
So what could I do to get back my fuel economy as it should be? Is there something to do with oxygen sensor as I have seen many posts in this forum talking about it?
Is this car still under manufactor warranty for replacing any parts such as oxygen sensor?
Please advise. Thanks.
David.
