Default Simple question for owner of 2010 Santa Fe...please

Hi, I live a little bit remote from the nearest dealer so I'd like to ask an owner of a 2010 Santa Fe Limited (without nav) a question:

When you dim the dash lights, (such as for driving long highway miles with no streetlights around), does the whole dash dim including the stereo, gauges, and all? or just some?

My current vehicle keep some stuff lit up at full strength which of course is distracting and prevents my eyes from adjusting to a darker cabin to be better for the road. I'm really hoping that it all dims.

Any other surprises after buying the vehicle that you wish you knew before getting it?

I'm very close to going for it.

Thanks.

Woot! I found another thread with a bunch of other people who felt the same....that the dash lights were way too bright. I did learn that they dim some, but not enough for some people (which probably would include me). The quick fixes were tinted cling film (of course). But the better solution is to replace a resistor with a stronger one:

I am so happy! I know it seems odd that dash lights would be a deal breaker, but with the amount of night driving I do (long winters up here with it getting dark early), it was important. LOL....I "suppose" it could be a sign of getting old, but I'd rather not face that possibility just yet. But then again, I suppose buying a Santa Fe over a Genesis Coupe is already a pretty big hint. Doh!

Thanks anyway. I'm still interested if anyone has any other things that they noticed after buying that they wish they knew up front. (2010 Santa Fe Limited no Nav)
