It's making about 311kW at all 4 wheels now, the coils have reached their limit and are starting to fade. We're gonna need the CDI to go further. However, as it stands it's quicker than plenty of full-blown race cars and as quick as F3's around corners[took half a year to find the right geometries and tyre combo]
The carbon parts will stay raw; I actually went and weighed up the amount of paint that went into a bonnet, trunk and wing[the garage I'm affiliated with has a paint contractor, so I asked him how much paint the parts would need and put it on a scale] It's close to a kilo when mixed, and it'd be cost close to 300 bucks to do all those parts. Thats money for 2 major oil services right there[these need to be done every 3 outings, but engine oil gets changed every time it runs hard. These are full-day outings and you burn your oil in abut 40 laps. I have a cooler in the front dam because it wouldn't fit in frot of the wheel arch, and it only helped to sustain the oil condition for another hour at best. Things are pretty close to their reliability limit since it's not a drag or dyno car]
Yer, it's still got the glass windows. I'm looking for a perspex fitter now and when I do find one, the regulators will come out in favour of aluminium brackets[already measured up, just need to make them] and the windows will go in. The windscreen needs to stay, but the rest of the glass is fair game. However they will need to be fixed; CAMS says that if you have perspex, it has to be fixed and riveted in.

^^^There's actually a solution out of the market for that; Revolution Racegear makes plastic vents[the circular things you rivet into the polycarbonate windows] that draw air out of the ****pit. I always have the driver's side window an inch or two down for ventilation, so those will help.

Your car is great. Dont paint the carbon, dont change a thing. The exterior looks great how it is. Fast too. Love the wheels too. They look like gram lights?

Yes, the wheels are Gramlight 57S. Pretty damned strong too, tapping the rumble strips isn't an issue.

Hehhee....just got some "overnight parts from Japan."
Chassis bracing, UD pulley kit, de-aerating water system, baffled PS reservior for GTR[I used heaps of Skyline parts in the project]
Should give me better front end stiffness, a bit more engine response[but the UD kit is more to prevent the belt from flying off from overspeed since the constant RPM is very high] and the swirl pot kit also acts as a reserve reservior should a welsh plug fail. Still waiting on the ricer-shift kit and the CDI. But, the car should be completed within the week. I am SO looking forwards to not buying parts any more.
