Default The Raven

Hi all

I talked about buying a bike like 4 months ago and I actually did. I have been wanting to post some pics of it on here.

It's a 2006 Yamaha V-Star Custom 650 Raven

I am going to add a Hypercharger, re-jet the carbs and get a set of aftermarket pipes. It should add like 30+ HP to the bike.

I have added a few things, new pedals, windshield, bags, chrome covers through out it.

I fell in love it the black theme of it, it has a gloss & flat black through out it. It's a lot of fun to drive.

Later on -

My buddies kid -

Nice ride, love it.

But never drive kids on it, I hope this was only for the needs of a photo.

Here's the Hypercharger, I am going to order it with a black center piece and black intake holes -

The hypercharger is like a supercharger, I think LOL..

This is one great website for this bike, there are a ton of free mods for it.
vstar 650 how to's

I am going to do a 2" drop with it as well.

I am going to have a local shop jet the bike, That site said to use a 127.5 jet size. I don't even want to try to do this, I have no clue.

Nice bike. Gonna put straight pipes on it? I can't count how many times my loud pipes have gotten some driver to notice me that otherwise would've hit me.

Last I knew they weren't making hyperchargers for under 1100cc. Damn, they probably make on for my 750cc by now. *devious*

Yeah, I am going to put a set of straight pipes on it. That will be awesome.

What kind of bike do you have? I bet they bike a Hypercharger for it. Check out the link I posted.

I haven't made a choice yet for a set of pipes but the bike needs more HP...I love it though, I sit well on it. It's very comfortable.

I read the instructions for the Hypercharger, and it just looks like a ram air intake system with a K&N filter. Possibly opening up to a unfiltered air into the intake by vacumn. Kinda like older muscle cars and their hood scoops and stuff.

Nice bike man. I want a bike sooo bad. My buddys dad has a old old old Honda 750 sports. I found out that it was like the first 'sports' bike. First 4 cyclder bike, and everything. Its pretty cool looking too. And rare as hell. $750 and its mine, and its sat in a garage for 23 years. Dont know if it runs, but it looks beautiful.

I prefer the "gunfighter" style seat, more like yours, but I was young and single and hoped that putting the seatback on mine would encourage passengers. I shoulda left it off, it allows them to not get as close.

Before I put my Cobra pipes on, the cam was the loudest part of my bike. But it's all better now. I love listening to the exhaust crackle under engine braking, but it sure gets quiet when I pull the clutch in.

I ride a Honda Shadow Spirit 750.

And yes, Wilbur, functionally the hypercharger is a ram air intake, BUT some hyperchargers were sold that were intakes without the ram effect. They were advertised as "non-functional".

Sweet bike man, very nice.

I am thinking about getting a single seat for my bike, I can get a rack for the back of it.
