Default andy's turbo x3

well i'll start out with the pics and then the mod list since it will take up a page itself. I'm using a so-so camera so it's about as good as I could get without having photoshop at my command. Enjoy!

It is still not a completed project as the turbo needs a rebuild which is coming soon and the ksports will get swapped with the newer ones from my daily driver. Once everything is sorted i'll try to get some dyno numbers for everyone. I'm going to try to get a full autox season in next year if everything stays together. From the 2 events I did with it this year, I can say it surprises a lot of people including myself.

thanks for the compliments

I love my 1.5 turbo, I don't have dyno figures but i'm sure they are comparable to the beta swapped accents. With just a bit more boost i'd be well past the bolt on betas.

For the money going turbo with the 1.5 or going with a 2.0L are about the same price and time and effort. For the time it takes to plumb a turbo setup you could have the motor out of an accent.

It all depends on where your plans lay for your car in the future. This car just ended up on my lap when gimp offered it to me. It was too good of a deal to pass up so that is why I have it now. For the people who still plan on driving their cars everyday I think the 2.0L swap is a good option because it delivers power like a factory setup. With the t25 on my car it feels like a slightly modded 1.5 until I hit full boost around 3000rpms. A beta swapped car would have better torque at lower rpms because you don't have to wait for the turbo to spool and it is a bigger engine. Both have their perks.

Gimp fabbed the parts when the accent was his, he's on his second car since then and I think the accent stuff was a one time thing.

I'm not sure where the stainless brake lines came from but they weren't custom made. They might have been for a tiburon but worked for both of my accents. If you need brake lines made, find a shop that deals in hydraulic lines and bring them one of your stock lines and they can make you new ones off that in braided stainless steel.

Beta tb was custom adapted by xericrally
it uses a 2.0 intake flange welded to the stock accent intake manifold.

You can make it work by enlarging the holes on the 2.0 tb and making a new gasket and it should bolt up to your accent tb flange once the mount holes are bigger. 2-3 holes will almost fit without enlarging.

hopefully I answered everyone's questions, if i missed something let me know
