Default Can this be done?

You know how you get newbies asking questions that have been asked a billion times (not that I care but I know others do)? You can alliviate some of this by NOT allowing duplicate topic titles.

Lets say someone enters a topic called "CAI". When they press the submit button, a response will be generated that says "This topic already exists in this category, please do a search for that topic title".

Is it even possible to do something like that?

How about making it so that if you DO try to start a thread with a title that already exists, it automatically brings up all the topics with CAI in the title. That way you can look at those to see if they answer your question before you re-post the same thing.

I think it's a good idea, 1SickGS...

I think thats a good idea, but isn't that what the newbie forum is kinda for? Atfer thats person's questions is answered, then maybe the mods/ admins can delete that thread.

Yup, that's what the n00b forum is for.

It would be kinda hard to do the topic title blocking.
