Default Speed Traps

I think rob or someone should come up with a database and have it work with SQL or something so where people can input where their local speedtraps are usually set up. so if someone takes a long trip they can check the site and see where speed traps are usually setup as to take a little more precaution before going through there at 90mph...
jus a lil suggestion

pretty good idea if there is ever time for it. I second that request. Eventually this site will cover everything and Speed Traps is a damn good thing to cover for all the hyundai racers:evil:

I have middle and East Tennessee covered. I travel back and forth between Nashville and Knoxville (180 miles) pretty much once or twice a month (school - home). I have I-40 pretty much down to a perfection. Just don't speed in Davidson or Wilson County (Nashville - Lebanon). I agree.. work with the ability to post Speed Trap info.. but do only as much as you can. Site is coming along great and the store will boost the attraction and traffic to the site.

I would have Mt. Vernon to Seattle on I-5 and Arlington to Woodinville on Hwy. 9 in Wa.

It would also be considered obstruction of justice and this site could be held liable.

In what way would it condone speeding and how would it be obstruction of justice???

20/20 did an entire segment on a city near me (Lakewood, TN) and how their main income is from traffic tickets. They talked about speed traps and showed diagrams of how they would sit in people's driveways... The also talked about how the cops would write bogus tickets and write the tickets from anywhere to 3-15 miles more than they told the person they were going (which would have a direct effect of how much you would end up paying in fees). If 20/20 is able to have that on national television then why couldn't we have it? I'm not saying you are wrong, I just didn't see how it could be obstruction of justice, and how HP.com would be held liable... and how anybody would know?

20/20 wasn't reporting on exactly where all the speedtraps are.

Yes it could be considered an obstruction to justice and besides, we do not advocate speeding and by adding that segment to the site we would be.

I am sure if you search the net, someone out there might have done this already but it won't be us.

That is the main reason www.speedtrap.com no longer exists.

It would be the same as using a scanner to determine if the police were summoned to the area where you were breaking into cars. It is inhibiting or interfering with the LEGAL actions of police department.
