Default Site freezes up

I notice intermittently the web server seems to freeze up in the middle of loading a page or trying to load a page. It will be working fine and then just freeze and after about 30 seconds it seems to run along just fine again.

Site loading will be influenced by the number of people using the forums and what they're doing.
Searches during peak usage hours bring it right down to a crawl.

Down to a crawl or a stop? I can run a search and open multiple pages no problem. It's as if the whole server just falls asleep and then wakes up. Maybe I'm the only one it happens to.

The search always dogs the site badly. It is set up differently on the new version of the boards. It'll be nice. :smoking:

It happens to me aswell. There' s nothing worse than loosing a post like that, especially if it's a long one.

I always cut the text into a a buffer now, just in case that shit happens again. Is there not a way to forward the text into a buffer first, as a safeguard just in case the page fails to load?
