Citizen Rating sticky somewhere - Hyundai Performance Forums

I think it would be nice to have a sticky somewhere explaining the citizen rating system. I got docked 10 points and it took me quite a while looking through the search results to find out what that meant for me.

Also I did not get an e-mail when I was docked and I thought that was supposed to be automatic?

i was wondering about the ranking system as well ... how do you get back up if you get knocked down ?

My understanding is that you get one point back every day. I don't know if it's fixed now but some of the older threads said that there was a problem with the points coming back automatically after they were deducted.

If you drop below 90% you are not able to post.

How do ppl dock someone? I didnt know there was a rating. What do you get docked for?

You only get docked for being really annoying, and/or "hacking" posts. For example, bringing up old posts from 1984 and replying "OMGGG THIS POST IS SOOOO OLD!!!!!" or by posting in a locked topic... which is a little trickier to do

Update...you don't automatically get points back every day. I don't know if it's because I'm on some kind of "probation" but it wasn't bad enough to not let me post anymore, or if you just don't get your points back automatically.

Well, this is one of the problems with web languages, they only run code when you hit it up to load a page. Stuff like knocking down points over time requires either a smart query to calculate it, or a dumb "update" script to run every night, which probably broke.

Yeah, you don't get points back automatically. It's been 10 days and I've gotten no points back. Agentmoo should have been able to post again 5 days ago but as of now he's still banned with an 85% citizen rating. No big deal to me but I bet it is to him.

40 days and still same situation. Agentmoo is banned and now we have real trolls running around all over the place with nothing happening to them.:ermm:
