No that won't give you a good benefit. the 4 cylinder, just doesn't have what it takes to carry 1405kg's fast in n/a form. Either invest in looks, and go with a custom kit, or do the 4g63t swap like i did. more details at my site http://dsm20.topcities.com

That or swap for a V6. Don't worry, even if you had the V6, its only a second faster at a whopping 9.09 seconds to 60. I say do what Justin suggested, there is plenty of aftermarket support to get the 4G63T to put out some emense power, not as much as the V6 that was also featured in the Mitsu 3000GT but still, its power. Also, you could try taking out some sound deading insulation and other items that are really non functional to you to save on weight such as the back seat or spare tire and stuff. All that will had up.

Who is this Tommy guy? I herd he is a geek !
Ok im Tommy
i cant honestly say how much it costed me cause i been upgrading non stop since 1999 .
But...
I asked my guy who did my swap and he said labour will cost you about 1300 bux. Parts you will need an engine, 1500-1800 bux for a good one,if ur sonata is 5 spd u can keep that tranny in there with the new engine. ECU 200 bux, mass air flow 75 bux, injector resistor 20 bux, misc like oil, coolant etc etc say 100 bux.
Not bad. maybe bit more for running the stock side mount intercooler.
All in Canadian dollars ofcourse.
Place is www.metalexmotorworx.com like Yooon posted. Tell him Thomas sent you he will take care of you.
