:sleepy:Okay, I never thought that the sonata was styling theft, but this is the most unoriginal thing I have ever seen from an auto company! The name even sounds too close to the Avanti to be original!

I agree with Karmaracer. I understand Kia is owned by Hyundai and under their respective skins they will be very similar, so I have no beef with Kia's new model being an XG with a different look. It's how they chose to execute that different look that drives me crazy. In terms of originality, Kia's design team makes Hyundai look like Pinanfarina. The Amanti so blatantly borrows from the E-class that it's laughable. And am I the only one who thinks the Sorrento hopes to be mistaken for the Lexus RX series? I feel the XG's styling is more subtle and classy. This is not to say the XG doesn't borrow from other's inspiration at all (kinda Infinity-like front and Bentley-like back IMO), it's just the extreme that Kia seems to go to in borrowing wholesale from others that I find annoying. Please be a little more daring and original!!! I'll get off my soapbox now.

ok i never post here but i just can't stand to see this. FYI mercedes benz did design the headlights for the new ef sonata, they're not rip-offs, so think about that for a while.

Hyundai isn't very creative anymore is it?

Actually the last couple years, they have been ripping other car companies off for appearance looks.

XG
'02+ Sonata
'02+ Elantra
'03+ Tiburon (supposed Ferrari F350)
(to name a few)

Now this

Now don't get me wrong I like the look of the car. But you know the majority of people are going to think "yuck, a cheap imitation of an expensive luxury car" I personally love my 02 Sonata and love the look of the Mercedes designed headlights. Nice clean look. I am not knocking Kia for the latest design at all. It will sell well I think. An attention getter for sure.

Just my 2 cents.........:
