Default ground wire

Do any of you know where is the best ground for an amp is in the trunk of a 2001 sonata. i used to have it under my seat and i moved it t my trunk and i cant find a ground. thanks

try lifting up the trunk carpeting and find a bolt that holds down the back seats. that's where my ground is.

I removed the back seat and took out the middle seat belt, which I never use, and wouldn't even recommend to the person in the middle. I used the existing bolt to anchor the ground wire...works perfectly

I grounded mine to the wheel well bolt. However you go just to be all good i'd sand off the paint and whatnot so you've got good contact. I don't really know how much of a difference it makes but it's what I was taught long ago so I guess it's become a habit...

Good luck with the install. I hope you don't have to remove the rear deck.. What a pain that was in my '01 Sonata!
