Default Sonata Suspension TUning

I am interested in a couple of simple modifications to the 2003 Sonata.

Correcting the suspension tuning which is too soft. Larger sway bars first, then after judging the effect of this change perhaps install stiffer (and lower 1"- 2") springs. Has anyone performed these mods? How is ride quality affected? I'm looking to achieve a more German or Honda style feel as opposed to the "float" of the standard set-up. Years ago (1973) I installed a BRE suspension kit on my 1971 Datsun 510 (bought new for $2,100) and it transformed the car into a real sport sedan.

Also are there replacement interior trim pieces for the plastic wood (dash, doors, etc.)? Brushed aluminum to match the shifter cover would really make the interior much more elegant-the fake wood is really, really fake.

For the brushed aluminum looking dash trim check out: http://www.exoticwooddash.com/wd735.htm
They have a really nice looking Synthetic Brushed Aluminum Kit that features 16 pieces.

As for your suspension I would suggest checking out Hyundai Performance Store.
http://shop.hyundaiperformance.com They have a good bit of suspension products for our Sonata's.

Also you could stop by http://www.sonataspeed.com and check out the Aftermarket Product section of his site.

I have also been starting a site for The New EF Sonata's only. The page will feature anything and everything that has to do with the 2002 - 2003 Hyunda Sonata. Check it out and see what you think of the beginings. http://newefsonata.hopto.org

I have a set of TnK coilovers from www.kspec.com, front/rear strut braces, whiteline swaybars, a adjustable camber kit. I suggest getting all of that for a real differance, but you want simple so I would say go with a set of sways from the HP store, Eibach lowering springs, KYB shocks and struts (because you car is still going to feel soft even with the aforementioned mods). Your best bet is to get coilovers though because it will feel like you have everything on your car (TnP coilovers are cheaper than TnK).
