Default 2003 V6/manual?

Can dealers order a GLS with a V6 and manual? I am thinking of going to my local dealer soon and asking him if he can. I think the V6 with the manual would be a peppy combination....

i went to hyundaiusa.com, check out the 'build your own car' part, and it seems that you can. i don't see why you couldn't anyways...

Yeah, you can get it. It might take them a while though. It took my dealer 3 days to get me my LX. I would have thought that would be a pretty common variety but they had to truck it over from a dealer in New Jersey (I live in PA).

Along the same lines, if it's a big hassle for them to get it, they're going to give you a crappy deal...

I was thinking to go for a GLS manual with the only option as the moonroof, I'm not sure of the package number off my head. I was thinking either silver or black, both on black cloth. What do you think would look better?

Tibdeal, then whats with the website advertising a V6/manual on all models? I could see an LX being offered only with auto, but the Hyundai website and various other publications advertise both manual and automatic with both the 2.4 and 2.7.

i understand that the website does show you that you can get manual trans on v6 and v4 but hyundai does not build v6 manual trans, i have currently a 2003 sonata gls, i spoke to the regional manager of hyundai and he told me that i could not get a manual trans on the v6, which i was kind of dissapointed but what can you do.

When I got my LX I was told by the sales guy that any configuration I wanted (that was shown on the Hyundai web site) could eventually be found for me. The only glitch is that I would have to wait 2-6 weeks depending on the configuration I wanted.

I just think my best bet is to go in and ask, whats the worst that can happen? "No, we cannot order that."

I have two dealers in mind: Hyundai City in Burlington, NJ and Burns Hyundai in Marlton, NJ. Anyone from southern NJ have any other dealers that they would like to share?

EDIT: And another thing...they do make V6/5-spd Tiburons, and its the 2.7, so its not like there is a compatibility issue or something.

Well, I went to Colonial Hyundai in Downingtown, PA. They have another store somewhere in NJ (which is where they got my car from).

Get details @ http://www.colonialhyundaipa.com (PA) and http://www.colonialhyundai.com (NJ).
