Default I need help! My 4 cyl 2003 Sonata idles like a truck!

I have a 4 cylinder 2003 Sonata that runs great! However, it idles like a truck. Very rough at idle and at times shakes the steering wheel really bad. At times seems sluggish at take off. Dealer says thats just the way the 4 cylinder is designed and says there is nothing they can do about it. I've only had the vehicle for 4 months and it only has 2400 miles.
I'd like to know if anyone has had problems with their 4 cyl Sonata and if so what was done by their dealer to correct this very irritating problem. gre:

The 2.4 Litre Sirius Engine ain't That Great..

Idle's like a Truck huh??..hmm........Doe's The CEL Come on?
And when did this problem happen....was the engine running fine some days earlier?

1: dead Spark Plug due to carbon build up.
2: direct ignition wire's not connected tightly.
3:engine Mount, could be ripped unless it's hydraulically mounted.
4:Oil Consumption...
5:Engine Fireing Order??

problem 1 & 2 are common problems of throbbing engines or misfires,

I've Driven 4-cylinder Sonata and they're not that rough at idle,it revs smooth as a Beta,

Ask your dealer to test another 4-cylinder sonata..and if it doesn't idle roughly which is fine..ask them for either to fix your car or ask for another sonata.

Its a 2.4L sirius not a 2.2 lol. My car does the same idling like that I am assuming its normal for this particular engine. The firing order is 1-3-4-2.

Get the Dealer to look into the Car, From Looking at it, it seem's like the dealership's trying to wash their hand's of you Because dealership's hate warranty repair's that cost money.

if They Refuse,Go to another hyundai Dealership,

If That still doesn't work...drive another sirius sonata,
and tell them that your car feel's different.

I agree, I've driven those 2.4 models and they idel smoothly, alot smoother than the mitsus they used to use. I think the dealer is being lazy, and if you dont get results, send an email to Hyundai (www.hyundaiusa.com) and they will contact the dealer and MAKE them resolve it. I wrote to them once about a problem, and the dealer actually then contacted me and told me to bring it in.

That car should be smooth enough that you wouldnt notice it at idle.
