problem with my car

ok, i got a 2001 sonata, tonight driving my lil brothers from church, and rpm gage drops to zero, then the speedodemeter drops, and radio cuts off, interior lights dim, battery and e brake light come on, and i could barly see in front of me due to the front head lights are barly on. Driving home, pick up another brother up at freinds, let the car run for 10 minutes in the ir driveway to hopefully charge my battery up a lil bit. turn it off and talk to my freinds mom about some stuff, get back in car with brothers, try to start it, doesnt start, get jumped off and drive home. me and dad think its the alternator. LIFE is fun.

any suggestions, if it is the alternator, its in a tight spot to exchange.:ermm:

OH, forgot to say thats its a new battery i bought about month ago!

yea,its the alternator.mi 99 sonata do same thing.i buy one on ebay for $36 with shipping.its a pain to replace.

Yeah, me and my dad was lookin at it, we was debating how hard it was to get it out. i dont think it will come out the top, most likly we have to go in from the bottem.
