Default '98 sonata

Alright i know you guys are goin to call me carzy but i need help cuz well i would rather not go into details but i just can't get rid of this car.

Anyways...

I have a '98 Sonata and the engine went out on me, i've been trying to find a replacement engine and i've found a few but i'm curious is it possible to install a Honda Vtec from a civic instead? The only concern is probably the mounting brackets i would have to modify.

the second things is when i do replace it can i drag the engine out of the top or does it drop from the bottom like some of the newer ones do?

Well please tell me and help me out...i need this car to work and i figured since its broke now why not fix it and make it better than before.

Peace :chinese:

nice rice. honda civic engine just plain isn't a good idea.

if you had a 2.0L I4, look to put a DSM 4g63 in there. if it was the 3.0L V6, put the DSM 6g72 in it. although i'm not too confident you're capable of that.
