Default Brakes Life?

I have alittle over 26000 miles on my 06 LX Sonata. The brakes are squeling like mad! My question is how many miles do you have on your brakes? If I have about the same and this is normall wear great... but I doubt it... I will have to add it to the list of other problems with my car.

Brake life depends alot on how you drive. If you are heavy on the brakes, they won't last long. Also, if you do alot of city driving, they will also wear out sooner. The brakes on my 04 Tib lasted about 30K miles.

There is no base line.. I've seen anywhere from 25k to 80k in brakes.. Depends on if grandma is driving or a left foot braker.

Do you have to replace a lot of bulbs in your tail lights? If so, you could be resting your foot on the brake a little to much.
