My son just bought a 2006 Sonata & then noticed there was a crack in the panel by the air bag. The guy who sold it said it's not dangerous to use until they get the parts in. What does anyone else think?
I HAD THE CRACK IN MY 2005 NF SONATA AFTER 12 MONTHS . IT HAS BEEN REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY . I ALSO KNOW OF A FEW OTHERS WHO HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM . APART FROM THAT , NO OTHER THINGS TO COMPLAIN ABOUT . EXCEPT THAT I AM TALL AND WOULD LIKE TO SIT ABOUT 2 INCHES LOWER THAN THE LOWERING ADJUSTMENT PERMITS .
no danger at all, the cover is for looks only, when a bag deploys its designed to rip out the bag cover a certain way, the bag itself is inside. wouldnt worry about it since they are going to replace it anyways.enjoy the car
