Default e-brake light on

my e-brake light stays on when i drive?? what can be causing this problem? the brake is not engaged either. thank you

The warning light that comes on when the parking brake is engaged is usually the same one that indicates low brake fluid. If that light is staying on it could either indicate that your brake fluid is low or the parking brake is not fully releasing even if the lever is down all the way.

yeah man thats exactly what it was...there was NONE left for some reason lol i have to check to see if i got a leakage or something.

Before you fill that master cylinder check your brake pads. You probably also need new brakes.

Good advice. As the brake pads wear the fluid level will drop so that may be why it is down.

yeah i just bought brake pads for the front and back today and should be installing sometime this week.
